Progress update note

1. On 10th April 2014, Botswana Focal Point reported that Botswana was still reviewing the Road Traffic Act to conform to SADC requirements of the vehicle width and heights. In response to this report, South Focal Point reported that South Africa was requesting that the 4.1 height restriction imposed by Botswana been put on hold, pending the review process Botswana is currently undertaking.
2. On 19 November 2014, the Focal Point Botswana reported that the relevant Authority was yet to respond to complaints on the vehicle dimension standards as there are re-occurring.
