Weighing of empty trucks in Tanzania

Tanzania introduced weighing in motion

Progress update note

During the 16th EAC Forum on NTBs held in Kigali, the United Republic of Tanzania reported that she had introduced weighing in motion and therefore did not regard this as an NTB. However, the Republic of Rwanda and the republic of Burundi considered it as an NTB. The meeting recommended that the NTB be referred to next meeting of SCIFI. The time frame given to address this issue was March 2015.
