Tanzania Border posts charge Visa charges of US$ 250 for businessmen from Uganda.  

Status note

At the 3rd meeting the Tripartite NTBs Focal Points and NMC Chairs held in Dar -es-Salaam on 19-20 April 2012, Tanzania reported that it does not charge visa from EAC members.  

Progress update note

Tanzania reported during the 5th EAC Regional Forum held in Nairobi 1st - 3rd September 2011 that she had abolished the visa. Tanzania was requested to forward the administrative decision to partner states and her border stations to ease implementation of the administrarive decision.
